The Ther festival of the historic Nallur Kandaswamy Temple in Jaffna
took place in a grand manner on Friday. The flag-hoisting ceremony took
place on on August 19, and festivities will carry on for 25 days.Yesterday’s events commenced following religious observances at the Nallur Kovil at 6 a.m.
Sri lankans living abroad`s Tamils and foreigners also attended this significant festival.
